Local-First Data Storage

Chiwee is built on a local-first architecture. All personal data you generate — including habits, daily streaks, mood logs, breathing sessions, and journal entries — is stored exclusively on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly trigger a feature that requires it. You have full ownership and control of your data at all times. You can erase all app data permanently at any time from the app's settings screen.

AI Conversations

Chiwee's AI psychologist feature sends your conversation messages to third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI or similar services) solely for the purpose of generating a response. These messages are processed in real time and are not retained by Chiwee. Third-party AI providers may have their own data retention and usage policies, which we encourage you to review. We do not use your conversations for advertising, analytics, or any purpose beyond generating AI responses.

Analytics & Diagnostics

Chiwee may collect anonymized, aggregated diagnostic data (such as crash reports) through platform-standard tools provided by Apple or Google. This data cannot be linked to you personally and is used solely to improve app stability and performance. You can opt out of diagnostic data sharing through your device's operating system settings.

Premium Purchases

All purchases within Chiwee are processed entirely through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Chiwee never receives, stores, or has access to your payment information such as credit card numbers or billing addresses. Purchase receipts and subscription status are managed directly by Apple or Google under their respective privacy policies.

Children's Privacy

Chiwee is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or under the applicable age of digital consent in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app and provided personal information, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy law (such as GDPR or CCPA) including the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Since all personal data in Chiwee is stored locally on your device, you can exercise most of these rights directly within the app by deleting your data from settings.
